Recently, BTS V or Kim Taehyung in real life, just released a song titled "Winter Bear" along with a music video on 'You Tube'.  Check (You Tube) https://youtu.be/pk7ESz6vtyA. It is directed by BTS V and this is what I understood from the music video (MV) of "Winter Bear. πŸ‘‡

Please read on:

I just noticed that V (Taehyung) in the MV of "Winter Bear" was  moving backwards halfway of the video towards the end of the video, also the same with the people at the background. And there was a study that explains this.

"The study : Moving Backwards Alters Our Perception of time."

According to the study, the way we perceive time, then, is similar to the way we perceive space. Just an approaching sound is heard at a higher pitch than a receding noise, and an object that you are approaching appears visibly closer than equally distant object you are leaving behind, the future --- which we are constantly moving "toward"-- feels closer, than events in the diminishing past. It is called "Temporal Doppler effect". To explain, internet users (subjects) were asked to think Valentine's Day one week before the event and the subjects who did the study felt that Valentine is approaching fast as people rush to buy gifts, look for a restaurant, etc. In comparison, one week after the event, it felt like it happened a long time ago as you reminisce the things that happened at that time. I explained this  first to analyze what V (Taehyung) was trying to convey from his video.

So, the first half of the video would show you how everything just moved fast. You also could see him looking up the sky most of the time. It could be interpreted as  a coping  mechanism. Like the phrase below:

"Look at the sky

As you walk through life

So the tears won't overflow your heart

on the lonely nights"

It was like holding back your tears.

It could be by staring at the sky , V can find out that really there are no boundaries or limitations. He can see that there are no borders in space, time or gravity; that beyond this planet of ours there is a huge space of experiences unopened and unrevealed. (Just like dreams)

Staring at the unknown yet  massive sky with clouds rolling by, way past the trees and deep into the stars, he is reminded of how small they are. He knows while he is inconsistent or uncertain, the sky and nature offers all the certainty and magnitude that is needed for the planet to keep on going, for him to keep going.

What is above us is beautiful: the rainbows, the golden sun, the orange new moon and the stars all make the sky awesomely beautiful. In the sky,  he could conceal himself  in beauty, hope and solace.

According to Buddha, “When you realize how perfect everything is, you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky.” (Probably, V was in restrospect of this and was very grateful of the many blessings he had so far)

When things around him look so unclear, fuzzy and disorderly, V can look above and see some awesomeness, magnificence and something to remind him that there can be a better direction in which he is going and things can turn out perfect.

He knows that to his present there is a past. The sky reminds him of his past and where he is coming from. When he stares at the sky he sees a history of places and times before him. He can see beyond where he is right now and peer towards where he  is coming from.

Or simply, V  just want to make a wish****

So, in the MV, Taehyung used black and white and limited colors as background, like it was old times  (the cinematography was really good).  The way how everything moved fast while he was doing his travels.  In the beginning,  you could see he was up early in the morning  and  before he knows it,  the  sun  was  up,  depicting afternoon, then he continued his journey, same thing, everything happened so fast,  and also the next day, the same.  He was thinking that his time was so short (BTS was really busy at that time). He really loved his travels in the US  and  Europe, it was ingrained  in his brain/memory,  but it was approaching fast to the end of (their tour). But, instead of being disheartened, he took it as an opportunity to savor the food, to move around and take photographs to add to
his collection. He was not V at that time, he was Kim Taehyung or even Vante, his pseudonym, a lover of arts and everything beautiful and unique.

Then, towards the end of the video, he started moving in reverse, (to alter his perception of time). By stepping backwards, everything slowed down, as he was reminiscing his past on those times, the path he stepped on, the memories he made (with dog), the things he enjoyed (looking at birds, nature), the pictures he took (of nature, birds, sky), the laughs and smiles he made, and the places he visited. He took delight at those moments, no need to rush, just like the birds flying freely, he was also taking his time to appreciate the beauty of nature, the sky, the birds, and everything that was there.

Near the end, he was smiling, looked  satisfied as he started to move forward again. In the end, he was walking towards his destination (with trees at the background). For him, another new beginning will unfold.

It's a new dawn,
It's a new day,
It's a new life.

By this, it allowed him to get over the things he couldn't change from the past including  sadness of losing his grandparents, maybe some regretful moments he did, while actively preparing himself for what's still to come. He was feeling and enjoying that present moment, capturing beautiful things, to make more memories to add to his story.

And knowing V (Taehyung), he is very perceptive, creative, his mind works so much differently. There is always a meaning to everything he does. He uses symbols, hidden meanings, metaphors, arts, photographs,  situations, even facial expressions to explain his work whether it is about his singing, dancing or acting. He makes you think and find ways to understand. The lyrics on Winter Bear is actually a very  simple one and yet,  the song can be interpreted in so many ways, it can be a love song, or a song to convey your feelings for your loved ones, friends, best friend, family, yourself, your loved ones in heaven or Army (BTS fanbase of which he is part of).

But for me, no matter what situation you are in right now, the song can calm you,  like a lullaby pacifies a baby.

V is an old soul, good-natured guy whose heart is pure. He is gifted, and he uses it to reach the hearts of many through the songs he composed, songs that are healing and hopefully, more songs to come because the world needs his talent, artistry and his soulful voice.πŸ»πŸ’œπŸ―

Researchers led by Eugene Caruso of the University of Chicago established this phenomenon, which they call the "temporal Doppler effect," through the above-mentioned studies. The next logical question -- for those of us who already regretting something that's ended or who are dreading an upcoming event -- is whether we can make it stop. The researchers repeated their earlier studies, asking 80 college students to think about events either three weeks in the future or three weeks in the past. But this time, they created the illusion of traveling through space, via a head-mounted virtual reality system.

After accelerating down a virtual road toward a virtual building, students continued to perceive the future as closer than the past. But reverse movement counteracted the perception of moving forward through time. The future, for students accelerating away from the building, actually felt slightly more distant than the past.
